I started a punk band with my best friend in 2003 and we still play the occasional fest here and there. Music and the punk & hardcore scene in general is what gave me the confidence to pursue my passions and without it, I doubt I would have been fortunate enough to discover making creative writing my career path.
My joints may never recover, but without realizing it at the time, touring physically and mentally prepared me for just about any hurdle life or advertising could ever throw my way.
